How to Send HD Photos and Videos on WhatsApp

With the recent update, Meta the owner of WhatsApp has released a new feature for both Android and iOS users, allowing them to send high-resolution Photos and Videos with other users. Until now, the users had to share high-resolution photos as documents to bypass the service’s low-quality image-sharing limitation.

But now, thanks to the “HD quality” option, you can share clearer images and videos with minimal compression. For example, iPhone photos that once were sent at 920 x 1280 resolution can now be shared in their full 3024 x 4032 resolution.

Recipients of HD images will see an “HD” label in the corner, letting them know they’re receiving a higher-quality version. Plus, all HD images are protected with WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption.
