Honor 9 Lite, another quad-camera smartphone from Huawei sub-brand Honor has been launched in India on Wednesday.
The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone is designed in a dual 2.5D double-sided glass body, which is also the key highlight of the device.
In terms of specifications, the Honor 9 Lite sports a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 428ppi pixel density. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset with an i5 co-processor which consumes low power and assists the main processor in performing complex calculations and operate in a low power “always sensing mode”. It is coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It runs the company’s latest EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box.
For the Indian markets, the 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB of internal storage, and the 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB storage, which can be expanded to 256GB. However, the 4GB/32GB, which will be seen on the global markets, has been kept away from the Indian markets.
On its connectivity front, the smartphone features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The sensors on the handset include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer (digital compass), and proximity sensor.
The Honor 9 Lite fuelled by a 3000mAh battery, which is good enough for a single day’s usage on moderate use. The smartphone gets fully charged within 2 hours 20 minutes, the company said.
The Honor 9 Lite 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 10,999 while the other 4GB RAM/ 64GB variant is priced slightly high at Rs. 14,999. Both the smartphones are expected to go on sale on January 21, exclusively via Flipkart. It will be available in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, and Glacial Grey colour options.
