After its recent launch of Cool M7 in China, the smartphone company Coolpad has launched a new smartphone Cool Play 6 in India for Rs. 14,999.
In terms of specifications, Cool Play 6 has a 5.50-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based custom Journey UI. Under the hood, there is a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (four 1.95GHz cores + four 1.44GHz cores) paired with Adreno 510 GPU and backed by 6GB of RAM. It is the company’s first device that features a huge 6GB of RAM and a dual camera setup on the back.
Coolpad Cool Play 6 has 64GB inbuilt storage and supports expansion up to xxGB via microSD cards; the dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) phone features a hybrid setup. The smartphone is backed by a 4060mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to 252 hours on standby and up to 6 hours of extreme gaming.
As above mentioned, the device has a dual camera setup of two 13-megapixel sensors on the back, with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone, and dual-LED flash and it supports HDR and 4K videos. Other features include slow video, long exposure, mono photo, and more. The front camera is 8MP with beauty mode and a couple of photo filters to choose from while taking photos.
The Connectivity features of the Coolplay 6 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB Type-C. The phone also features a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Looking at the given specifications and competitive pricing, Coolpad CoolPlay 6 appears to be an interesting mid-range smartphone entering the market, that has a dual-rear camera on board. The dual-SIM smartphone will be available in two colour options – Glod and Black, exclusively via Amazon.in starting from 4th September 2017.
